ABOUT ME

The tl';dr version

My Passion for Design

What I Bring to the Table

The Other Half of Me

I’m Debbie, an evidence-based product designer driven by curiosity and a love for making things make sense.

I’m currently designing in the legal tech space - tackling complex workflows and driven by an aging demographic - working to build thoughtful user-centered experienced to help people work smarter and more efficient.

My path into design started back in the Blogspot days, where I spent hours tinkering with blog themes just to get things right. That early obsession with form and function stuck with me - whether I’m deciding which app works for me best or hunting for a backpack that does all I need it to do (I have four right now, all with distinct purpose)!

I didn’t always work in design. In a previous career path, I was a high school teacher, department head, and competitive athlete — experiences that shape how I lead, collaborate, and communicate. I bring that same energy and drive into my design work, always focused on creating better, more purposeful experiences.

Today, I work across the full product lifecycle — from initial discovery and concept to launch and iteration. I design, manage project teams, and find a lot of joy in solving real problems with others.

When I’m not designing, you’ll find me hanging out with my partner and our dog, sipping a cuppaccino at a local café, or training at the gym — still chasing dreams of athletic glory.
